Police Find Fentanyl During Drug Bust At Benton Twp Motel

The Southwest Enforcement Team has arrested a 29-year-old Dolton, Illinois man on drug charges after a raid at the Red Roof Inn in Benton Township this week. It says officers searched a room at the motel on Tuesday evening after police got a tip from the management. They reported frequent foot traffic in and out of the room. During the search, 37 grams of fentanyl were seized, packaged in 19 small baggie corners, along with one brick of fentanyl totaling 33.5 grams. Detectives also seized an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect was charged with possession with intent to deliver fentanyl, two counts of delivery of fentanyl, and outstanding domestic violent warrants. He was taken to the Berrien County jail.
