The Red Cross says the current blood supply for this time of year is the lowest it’s been in more than a decade. Red Cross spokeswoman Kathy Anthofer-Fialon says the holiday season is a critical time for blood donations, and encourages everyone who can donate to do so, no matter what their blood type.
“At this point, any blood is good blood. We’re running low on all types.”
Donors can schedule an appointment by using the Red Cross Blood Donor App, visiting RedCrossBlood.org or calling 1-800-RED CROSS.
