If you want to start saving for your child or grandchild’s college education, now is a good time to do it. The Michigan Education Trust is kicking off a new pricing structure this month so you can pay for your child’s future college tuition at today’s price. Diane Brewer is the director of the Michigan Education Trust. She spoke with Michigan News Network about the new deal.

“What we’re doing is returning to an age based pricing structure,” Brewer said. “We had done this in prior years, the last time was in 2007, but when you look at the cost of tuition in the MET program at this point in time, you’ll see a graduated price index. So, the younger the child, they’re actually paying less.”

MET is also waiving its $25 enrollment fee and offering a $150 match for new beneficiaries when you use a coupon code Holiday21 this month when you enroll online. Enrollment will remain open through September of 2022.
