Western Michigan University’s spring semester enrollment is down 8.6% compared to last year. Provost Jennifer Bott says they are in the same boat as all other colleges, as the state is expected to see an 11% decline in high school graduates in the next 15 years. She says there have been some increases, as the Black student population is up 9% and students that identify as at least two races are up 7%.
