Coming up this month, you’ll be able to find a yeti at Tiscornia Beach in St. Joseph. City Recreation Manager Carrie Ogonowski tells us while most people don’t think of heading to Tiscornia in the winter, it’s exactly where the local yeti will be found the weekend of February 18 through February 21. Everyone’s invited to stop by and join in the search.

“There will be clues posted throughout the park, so when you arrive, people will see the first clue and that will lead them to the next one and around the park,” Ogonowski said. “So, you’ll be able to explore the park in the winter and then also be able to find the yeti. There will also be a book that’s there to read at the end that’s included. It’s called Betty the Yeti.”

Ogonowski says they did something similar at Kiwanis Park last year and the turnout was good. The search this year at Tiscornia Park will a free, self-guided activity. The park is open from dawn to dusk.
