Cigarette Leads To 1987 Murder Suspect

The suspect in a 1987 murder south of Niles has a cigarette to blame for his arrest. Michigan State Police got a cigarette butt that Patrick Gilham had tossed out in June 2021 and the DNA matched when tested. Gilham has been charged with murder for killing 30-year-old Roxanne Wood in February 1987 and has pleaded not guilty. He is due back in court on March 2.
