The Berrien County Sheriff’s Department has located a vehicle it previously believed may have been involved in a fatal hit and run in Niles on Sunday, and it says that vehicle was, in fact, not involved. The department released photos of the SUV Wednesday. It turns out it was a Jeep Compass, and it’s not the vehicle that hit Monica Clubb on Sunday morning. She was struck by a vehicle shortly after 4:40 a.m. at South Third Street near Brooks Street. The Berrien County Sheriff’s Department says the public helped it find the Jeep Compass. Still, the vehicle that struck Clubb was a dark colored SUV or pick-up. Anyone with information on the hit and run is asked to contact the Berrien County Sheriff’s Department.
