There’s been a big jump in gas prices with the Russian invasion of Ukraine and higher crude oil prices. AAA of Michigan’s Adrienne Woodland told Michigan News Network it’s a good time to try to use less gas.

“We are soon going to be approaching the switch over from the winter blend of gasoline to the summer blend, which is more expensive to produce, as well as we head into the spring and it gets much warmer, demand for gasoline typically increases,” Woodland said.

Woodland says we’ll have to see how crude oil prices are this week. The highest prices are in Saginaw and Lansing at $3.58 a gallon, while Benton Harbor has the third most expensive gas at $3.57. The lowest prices were in metro Detroit and Traverse City at $3.54 a gallon.
