State Senator Kim LaSata is recognizing Vietnam war veterans as March 29 is Vietnam Veterans Day. She says many Vietnam vets don’t even talk about the sacrifice they made.

“These heroes were part of our military and are part of our nation’s history,” LaSata said. “They deserve a hero’s recognition for their service, and especially their sacrifices. Let us all come together to formally thank those who served, and give them the recognition they deserve and that many never received.”

LaSata says her own father served in Vietnam. In all, seven million Americans served in Vietnam. LaSata asks everyone to give recognition to those veterans as part of Vietnam Veterans Day next Tuesday.
