A Cassopolis resident is recovering after she lost control of her vehicle on Wednesday, crashing it into a pond. The Cass County Sheriff’s Department says deputies were called to the scene on Dutch Settlement Street west of M-62 in Wayne Township around 1:30 p.m. They learned 58-year-old Becky Wright had been westbound on Dutch Settlement when she swerved to avoid another vehicle. She then lost control of her vehicle and went off the road. The vehicle overturned into Mill Pond south of Dowagiac. Wright was evaluated at the scene and taken to Borgess Lee Memorial hospital.
