A St. Joseph doctor is in Ukraine helping those who have been affected by the war. Dr. Sherry O’Donnell took a break from her campaign for Congress to fly to Poland this week. From there, she went into Ukraine. Her campaign’s Greg Wool told WSJM News a bit about what she’s up to there.
“She’s ministering to people who are going through struggle in Ukraine, she’s taking care of them physically, as a doctor she’s giving medical assistance to them, and she’s got a team with her,” Wool said.
Wool says O’Donnell has done similar ministry and medical work in Haiti and New York. She will return next week and resume her congressional campaign. She’s running as a Republican in the new Fifth district, which covers the southern half of Berrien County and runs eastward all the way to Lake Erie. O’Donnell is an internist who lives in Stevensville.
