Stunning news in the St. Joseph retail community! Pater True Value Hardware has confirmed that the store will be closing.
Pater posted a “Store Closing Sale” on Facebook Tuesday night. The reaction of some readers was “must have been hacked.” However, we have confirmed the store is indeed closing its doors.
A reliable source told us that efforts were made to sell the large hardware operation to another similar operator, but that was unsuccessful. We’re told the building is in the process of being sold to another business, which will take over the location in mid-Summer. Those details have not been confirmed by Pater True Value.
