Governor Gretchen Whitmer says she will “fight like hell to protect abortion access in Michigan.” She posted that on Twitter after a leaked draft opinion from the U.S. Supreme Court shows they have voted to overturn the Roe v. Wade decision. If that happens, Michigan’s 1931 law will be back in place that outlaws all abortions. Attorney General Dana Nessel previously said she will not prosecute anyone for having an abortion.
