The fan-favorite “Kids Day” will once again return to the 2022 KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship at Harbor Shores to engage young fans and showcase all of the excitement around the event. While the entire event will include family-friendly activities, Kids Day, scheduled for Saturday, May 28, will showcase a series of special events geared towards the younger generation of golf and cooking fans.
Kids Day will officially kick off at 9 a.m. that Saturday morning with the KitchenAid Smoothie Races at the KitchenAid Fairway Club, the centerpiece of the fan experience at Harbor Shores. Participants will race against the clock to blend an original smoothie recipe before a panel of judges taste-test the concoctions to determine a winner. After fueling up on smoothies, kids can head to the hole #2 tee box for activities with the Renaissance Athletic Club, a special addition to this year’s event. The Renaissance Athletic Club will have a 60-yard outdoor turf field set up for kids of all levels to run through engaging drills and races. All are welcome to test their speed and agility with these inclusive kids activities.
“At Renaissance Athletic Club, we place a high value on fitness through community, which is why we could not be more excited to open our turf field experience to the kids at this year’s KitchenAid Sr. PGA Championship,” said Lanie Schrubba, Fitness Program and Personal Training Director. “We will be inspiring kids to get moving through sport specific skills, reaction and agility drills, and short distance races – it’s sure to be a fun and memorable event for all.”
The kids and their chaperones will then be invited to hop on the trolley to the YMCA Kids Zone located in Jean Klock Park for a special magic show by magician John Dudley performing at 1:00 pm. The YMCA Kids Zone will be the place for kids to enjoy age-appropriate activities including hitting bays with PGA Professionals on hand for instruction, a bounce house, craft stations, and the Curious Kids Museum STEM tent featuring fun science-related activities.
All juniors, 17 and under, will be admitted into the Championship for free with an accompanying ticketed adult (four juniors per one ticketed adult).

The official Kids Day schedule of events is as follows:
8:45 a.m. ET
- Kids Day registration opens at the table in front of the KitchenAid Fairway Club
9 a.m.
- Smoothie race begins at the KitchenAid Fairway Club located inside the main entrance
10:15 a.m.
- Instructor led activities at the outdoor turf field of the Renaissance Athletic Club located at Hole #2 tee box
1 p.m.
- Magic Show hosted by John Dudley located in the Kids Zone at Jean Klock Park
