The golfers are ready for the 2022 KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship being played at Harbor Shores in Benton Harbor this week. Colin Montgomerie won here in 2014 and followed that with a win in 2015. He was asked what motivates him.
“Winning. Having the opportunity of winning,” said Montgomerie. “Not competing, but contending in the event. It’s a big difference. I do this to try and contend, meaning top ten, top five.”
Defending champion Alex Cejka knows it will be a tough week.
“Tough competition here, no matter what week you play, there are just great players, Hall of Famers, major champions,” he said. “You’ve gotta play a really great game to contend out there.”
The KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship begins Thursday and runs through Sunday.
