Lots of us are hitting the road for the Memorial Day Holiday weekend. AAA of Michigan’s Adrienne Woodland says 1.1 million Michiganders will travel 50 miles or more from home this weekend. When will it be the busiest?

“One of the worst days to travel would be May 27 between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. as drivers are expected to see traffic about 65% above normal congestion,” Woodland said.

Woodland notes Saturday will be the most expensive day to fly, while Monday will be the least expensive. She says there’s a pent up demand for travel, despite high gas prices.
