Interesting results in the latest look at the Republican race for governor of Michigan. It comes days after half of the field was wiped off the ballot over fraudulent signatures. Target Insyght pollster Ed Sarpolis says 49% of GOP voters who were surveyed are undecided.

“For the last year, Republicans have had their top candidate in Chief James Craig from Detroit and businessman Perry Johnson is dominating the rolls, and the voters ignored the rest of the field. So by the Thursday decision by the board of elections to eliminate the top five, you now have the bottom five and a race of the unknowns.”

Of those five remaining candidates, 19% of those polled support Ryan Kelly, followed closely by Kevin Rinke who had 15% support. Tudor Dixon, Garrett Saldano and Ralph Rebandt all drew less than 10% in the poll of 400 likely voters.
