Midwest Family Director of Operations and Program Director Paul Layendecker has been honored by the Rotary Club of South Haven with its 2022 Community Service Award. The Rotary’s Mark Odland tells WSJM News Paul has supported South Haven in countless ways.

“His community involvement includes many, many personal involvements in things such as We Care Community Resources Center,” Odland said. “He’s president of that board. He’s past chairman of the Van Buren County United Way, past president of the South Haven Kiwanis – we’ll forgive him for that one –  but it does demonstrate his commitment to the community.”

Odland says Paul can always be counted on to help promote positive things making South Haven a good place to live.

“He’s donated a lot of time, and a lot of air time on COSY Radio, promoting South Haven.”

Paul received the honor at the Rotary’s annual dinner Thursday night. Odland says Paul “truly exemplifies the Rotary principle Service Above Self.” He says when you go around town and see that radio van with the large antenna, you know it’s Paul promoting something in the community on COSY.
