A fundraiser has been launched for the Curious Kids Museum in St. Joseph following a fire Tuesday that forced it to close. Boss Services has started a Go Fund Me, seeking to raise $5,000, which it’s offering to match. Jen Wagner with Boss Services tells WSJM News the company was saddened to learn the museum had to temporarily close due to the fire, which damaged part of the building.

“My kids frequented Curious Kids, I used to go there on field trips all of the time, I know our owner Jeff’s kids go there as well, and so we were talking about ways that we could perhaps support them because they’ve suffered quite a bit of damage to their walls, ceiling, and other damage that hasn’t even been uncovered yet.”

Wagner says the fundraiser seeks to help Curious Kids offset some of the lost revenue and repair costs. No one was injured in the fire, and the building was never engulfed in flames. However, there was smoke and water damage due to the fire in the attic, and some walls and parts of the ceiling had to be ripped out by firefighters.
