There will be a volunteer steward day at Warren Dunes State Park next weekend. the Michigan Department of Natural Resources says everyone’s invited to come to help remove spotted knapweed to help protect native pitcher’s thistle. No experience is needed, but those who go should be ready to do some hiking and to work off trails. Those who wish to help out can meet at the picnic area, also commonly referred to as the interpretive shelter, south of the campground at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 16.
