Benton Harbor has the lowest average gas price in the state. Triple-A Michigan says the area is averaging $4.67 to start the week. Statewide, prices are down 14¢ in the past week and 41¢ in the past month to $4.81 a gallon. The average is still $1.63 higher than last year. The highest prices are in Marquette at $5 a gallon, and a 15-gallon fill up will cost on average $72.
