South Haven Boys & Girls Club Gets Donation

The South Haven Boys & Girls Club has received a $2,500 donation from the South Haven Vacation Rental Community Fund. The charitable organization of vacation rental homeowners picked the Boys & Girls Club for its first donation following a meeting with the club’s staff. Over 150 rental owner were contacted and 15% have donated to date. One founder of the fund, Mike Wesling, told the Herald-Palladium the goal is to raise at least $50,000 a year for donations. He is encouraging homeowners to donate what they can afford, and says they are hopeful to make more aware of their efforts. The fund has been set up through the South Haven Area Community Foundation. The South Haven Boys & Girls Club serve around 150 kid and is part of the Benton Harbor-based organization.
