A 35-year-old Allegan man is in the Van Buren County Jail after being caught breaking into a home in Geneva Township around 9 p.m. Wednesday. Sheriff’s office deputies were called along with South Haven police to the home in the 63-thousand block of County Road 388 after the residents were able to get away and call 9-1-1. The suspect ran away and was tased when he did not comply with demands from officers, and he was arrested after a short struggle. Stolen property from the home was also recovered. No names have been released.
