The Berrien County Youth Fair has announced it will be adding an additional tractor pull this year. The first annual street legal pick up and tractor pull will be held on Sunday, August 14. That’s a day before the start of the fair. The fair says the traditional Monday of Fair tractor pull will still be held, but the large number of entries during the day event has hampered getting ready for the evening professional event. Hot farm tractor classes will be held on Sunday as well. Those who attend should expect to see the hot farm and fast tractors at 10,000 pounds at 10 miles per hour limit and 12,000 pound tractors at 15 miles per hour as street legal gas and diesel pickups. Contestants in the tractor classes will be competing in the final pull of the Michiana Farmstock Shootout. Tickets for the event are $12 each and can be purchased on Sunday, August 14 at the grandstand ticket office, or ahead of time at the fair office in Berrien Springs and online at www.BCYF.org.
