A South Bend woman is dead after an accidental shooting in Cass County Sunday. The Cass County Sheriff’s Department says it happened around 3:30 p.m. in the 3100 block of Detroit Road in Howard Township. 35-year-old Brittany Young had been carrying a gun into a house when it accidentally went off. She later died. The sheriff’s department says the incident remains under investigation.
