A boil water advisory issued Friday for part of South Haven has been lifted. The city public works department has released the following to residents:

On July 29, 2022, you were notified of the need to boil all tap water used for drinking and cooking. The South Haven Water & Sewer Authority, in conjunction with the Michigan Environment, Great Lakes & Energy, has determined it is no longer necessary to use bottled water or boil water before drinking or cooking. Appropriate corrective measures have been taken, and follow-up sampling has confirmed no coliform bacteria in the water supply. For more information, don’t hesitate to contact Quentin Clark at 269-637-0730. General guidelines on ways to lessen the risk of infection by microbes are available from the EPA Safe Drinking Water Hotline at 1(800) 426-4791
