Police are working to identify a body found in Lake Michigan off Shoreham on Sunday. The Berrien County Sheriff’s Department says the U.S. Coast Guard was contacted around 11:30 a.m. and told a sailboat captain had spotted the body about 12 miles offshore. The Coast Guard recovered the body and turned it over to the sheriff’s department, which says the body will be taken to Western Michigan University for an autopsy and identification. No further information has been released.
