The Berrien County Sheriff’s Office says a sailboat captain found a body in Lake Michigan about 12 miles from shore on Monday. The U.S. Coast Guard recovered the body and turned it over to the sheriff’s office. It has been taken to Western Michigan University’s medical school in Kalamazoo for identification and an autopsy. They have not said how the person was found so far from shore.
