Are you planning to travel over the holidays? If so, it’s going to cost you more, according to travel insurance expert Kathy Kimmel. She spoke with Michigan News Network about the holiday travel forecast.
“With inflation, with the way everything’s going in the economy, it is going to be very expensive,” Kimmel said. “For instance, Thanksgiving week has gone up for the price of travel by $2,352 from 2019.”
Kimmel, of InsureMyTrip, says prices will be even higher for travel over Christmas. To try to save money, she says book early and get travel insurance in case your trip is canceled or the airline loses your bags.
