State Representative Pauline Wendzel thanked supporters Tuesday as she cruised to reelection in Michigan’s 39th District. She faced Democratic challenger Jared Plonowski in Tuesday’s election. Wendzel told us southwest Michigan has a good advocate in her.

“I will continue to listen to my constituents,” Wendzel said. “I am a representative and I represent the people, and I’m always open to phone calls, meetings, Facebook, however you can get ahold of me. I’m there, and I’ll continue to do exactly what I’ve been doing for the last four years, and that’s fighting for the people of southwest Michigan. Being a voice out here and making sure that Lansing doesn’t forget about us in this beautiful corner of the world that we have here.”

Wendzel said speaking to voters, she sensed people are upset about inflation, and she feels for them and the businesses affected. The 39th District covers the northeastern portion of Berrien County into Van Buren County and Allegan County.
