A New Year’s Eve celebration in downtown South Haven has been approved by the City Council. South Haven Visitor’s Bureau executive director Jennifer Sistrunk explained what will be happening.

“It’s pretty much just like it was last year,” she told the City Council this week. “We are having a DJ, a red-carpet photo op, we have an early beach ball drop at the Center of the Arts for the kids, so bring them down. Also at the Children’s Museum there events going on that night like a glow party, ice skating at the ice skating rink and the first 200 kids will get in for free that night.”

There will also be five minutes of fireworks lighting up the city at midnight.
