Michigan State University is now down one trustee as Pat O’Keefe has resigned. O’Keefe tells the governor’s office and fellow trustees that he “can no longer serve on a board that purports to promote cultural change yet struggles itself to be transparent.” He was not pleased with how a business school dean was removed and with how they selected an interim president after Samuel Stanley resigned. Governor Whitmer will select his replacement, as O’Keefe was elected to an eight-year term in 2020.
