Paw Paw Public Schools is planning a bus driver recruitment event for this month. It says candidates are welcome to come out and test drive a school bus, meet with representatives from the transportation department, and warm up with a cup of coffee and pizza. Those who complete an application on the day of the event will also be entered into a drawing for a gift card to Black Rock Restaurant in Kalamazoo, along with other prizes. The district says anyone can drive a car, but it takes someone special to drive a school bus, and they’re looking for people who take great pride in creating a safe and welcoming environment for all. The recruitment event will be next Thursday, December 8 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Paw Paw High School. Anyone interested in joining the team is invited.
