Polly Cross, 96, of Paw Paw, went home to her Lord and Savior Sunday, December 11, 2022, at The Rose Arbor Residence in Kalamazoo.
She was born November 10, 1926, in Moulton, Alabama, the daughter of the late Garth E. Goodwin and Mallie M. (Heflin) Goodwin.
Polly was a longtime member of 12th Street Baptist Church in Kalamazoo and was employed at Honey Bear Canning in Lawton, where she retired in 1986.
On October 20, 1944, in Moulton, Alabama, she married Gordon Lee Cross who preceded her in death in 2015.
Polly is survived by her daughter, Patricia McLean of Mattawan, and her son, Scott Cross of Lawton; grandchildren, five grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, two brothers, Horace (Shirley) Goodwin and Rocky (Jeanette) Goodwin and one sister, Peggy Kniss.
Polly was preceded in death by her daughter, Charlotte Joan Benson in 2020 and her sister, Helen Harp.
Family and friends are invited to visit Thursday, December 15, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 502 West Michigan Ave., Paw Paw, where a funeral service will immediacy follow at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Rocky Goodwin officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Mattawan.
