Michigan’s average gas price is under $3 a gallon after a 7¢ drop in the past week. Triple-A Michigan says the statewide average is now $2.99, a 66¢ drop in the past month and 11¢ less than last year. Traverse City’s $3.21 is the highest price in the state, while Saginaw’s $2.85 is the lowest. Prices in Benton Harbor and St. Joseph are $2.91 a gallon according to Triple-A. A 15-gallon fill up now costs $44 on average in Michigan.
