With much of Michigan hit with a winter storm, it’s another reminder to clear your walkways for delivery workers. The U.S. Postal Service is asking you to clear your walkways, driveways, porches and areas around the mailbox. Same can be said for the Amazon drivers and food delivery services. Elizabeth Najduch with USPS says you need to do your part to keep the workers safe.

“We are reminding our customers to please clear pathways of snow and ice for the letter carriers to keep them safe,” says Najduch. “If you’re receiving mail at curbside, we also ask you to please clear the snow around your mailbox so a letter carrier doesn’t have to leave a vehicle or back up to get around to that mailbox.”

Najduch says postal workers are given proper equipment for the winter weather to keep them safe.
