A 22-year-old Benton Harbor man is facing several felony charges after being arrested March 2 after a police chase. He took off from an attempted traffic stop on Pipestone Road in Benton Township, and police ended the pursuit due to unsafe conditions. His vehicle was found abandoned in Benton Harbor near Marion and Parker Street, and he was arrested after a brief foot pursuit. Officers found a large amount of packaged meth and fentanyl during a search of his vehicle. The parolee was arrested for maintaining a drug vehicle, fleeing and eluding, possession with intent to deliver fentanyl and meth, and parole violations. His name has not been released.
