The Village of Cassopolis is calling on parents to talk to their kids after vandals damaged playground equipment at Clisbee Park twice in the past week.

The village posted the following message to its Facebook page.

Over this past weekend someone decided to smash all of the plexiglass on the play structure at Clisbee Park. DPW promptly fixed them on Monday, only for them to be smashed again on Monday night. DPW replaced them once again today. Please use this opportunity to talk to your kids about the importance of respecting our community’s assets, especially if they are at the parks unsupervised. Not only does it take a lot of time and resources to replace, but the sharp edges of the broken plexiglass could harm little hands. If you see something, say something. We have a lot of great things going on in our village, and it takes a village to make sure they can be enjoyed by all for years to come. Special thank you to DPW employees Ky’Juan Lanier and Josh Lawson for making the play structure look good as new, twice.
