A two-car crash on M-43 in Arlington Township about four miles east of Bangor has claimed the life of one of the drivers. The Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office says 54-year-old Santiago Gallegos-Saucedo of Bangor was killed in the crash, which happened Wednesday morning a little after 7. Deputies say he ignored a stop sign while heading north on County Road 673 at the intersection with M-43 and his Saturn sedan was hit by a GMC pickup. Both vehicles rolled, and both drivers had to be pulled from the wreckage. The GMC driver suffered minor injuries and was buckled up. She had her 10 and seven-year-old kids in the car, and they were not hurt. Gallegos-Saucedo, however, was not wearing a seat belt. He died at Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo.
