Governor Gretchen Whitmer is urging all Michiganders to beware of and prepare for winter hazards during this Michigan Winter Hazards Awareness Week. COVID isn’t the only thing that could threaten your life this year as we head into the season of freezing pipes, potential propane shortages and power outages, and ice on the roads. Everyone is advised to weatherproof their homes with weather-stripping, insulate water lines that run along exterior walls, lock in a propane rate, get furnaces inspected, have the chimney swept, and clean out gutters.
