Michigan’s new COVID-19 cases for Sunday and Monday are 5,035, an average of around 2,517 each day. The Department of Health and Human Services says 29 people died over those two days for a total of 17,771. The total number of cases since March 2020 is now 849,420. In southwest Michigan, Berrien County cases are up 73 to 13,329 with 251 deaths. Cass County cases are up 12 to 4,608 with 69 dead. Van Buren County cases are up 23 to 6,333 with 103 deaths.
