Michigan State Police are still looking for the driver behind a hit and run on I-94 in Kalamazoo County that killed a Battle Creek man on Tuesday. The 71-year-old man was killed after he pulled over his vehicle and got out. State police say the man was standing on the driver’s side of his pickup near the traffic lane on eastbound I-94 near Galesburg when he was struck directly by the suspect vehicle and thrown into his driver’s side, ultimately landing on the ground several feet in front of the truck. The suspect’s vehicle made some contact with the pickup and would not have major damage. The suspect vehicle would likely have a higher profile, like a pickup, van, or semi. It’s not known where the suspect was headed. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Michigan State Police post in Paw Paw.
