Southwest Michigan is under a winter storm warning with up to 20 inches of snow expected in some areas. Berrien County Road Department interim director Kevin Stack says they are fortunate to be fully staffed to plow the snow.

“We’ve made it through the winter with no issues with COVID, we do have a little sickness, but it’s not COVID-related and it’s not going to affect any plow services in Berrien County,” says Stack. “We still plan to have between 45 and 48 trucks on the road.”

Stack says plow drivers will work in 12 hour shifts. He does remind drivers to steer clear of the plows to give them room.
