Indiana Michigan Power says 10,200 customers in Michigan are without power due to yesterday’s storms. The utility says it has nearly 29,000 in the dark in Fort Wayne, Indiana and 700 in South Bend. Main circuits delivering power to essential public service areas like 9-1-1 centers, water treatment facilities and police and fire stations will get back online first. Large areas where single repairs can restore power for hundreds or thousands of customers will be next, followed by small areas where repairs will restore several dozen customers. Last will be the repairs that only restore one or two homes. I&M is also reminding people to not touch downed power lines and report those.
