A tragedy in mid-Michigan as two toddlers drowned in a pond. Michigan State Police Lieutenant Derrick Carroll says a two-year-old boy and a two-year-old girl had wandered away from the Lake Arrowhead Property Owners Association in Hayes Township between Mount Pleasant and Gaylord Monday afternoon.
“Troopers responded to the scene and within 10 or 15 minutes, one trooper located the children face down in a small pond at a property across the street from where the families were at and they attempted to resuscitate the children, began CPR, and unfortunately both children were later pronounced dead.”
Carroll says it’s a tragic situation and they do not suspect foul play.
