Police are investigating a weekend murder in Benton Township. The Benton Township Police Department says officers were sent to the Berrien Homes housing complex on Council Drive around 2:40 a.m. Sunday on a report of a shooting. They found 30-year-old Toma Turner of Benton Harbor in the parking lot with gunshot wounds. He died at the scene. The investigation found there had been an argument between Turner and the suspect just before the shooting. The suspect is described as a thin Black male in his 30s. He was last seen near the complex on foot. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact the Benton Township Police Department.
