23-year-old Grayson Ford of Lincoln Township is due in court Thursday on charges of kidnapping in November 2022 and criminal sexual assault a month later, and will be facing more charges after allegedly stealing several vehicles yesterday, getting into two crashes, and breaking into a woman’s home in St. Joseph Township.

Ford was in the first crash around 4 pm at Red Arrow Highway and John Beers Road and stole a vehicle from that scene and took off. He then got into another crash at Red Arrow Highway and St. Joseph Avenue and got into another vehicle driven by a woman and sped off onto eastbound I-94.

Berrien County dispatch got a call a few minutes later about Ford running through the yard of the Blue Roof Church in St. Joseph Township, and then a woman called saying a man had broken into her home on Manitou Road. Ford was arrested around 4:30 pm. The crashes and vehicle thefts are still under investigation.
