A 22-year-old man from Union is hospitalized at South Bend Memorial Hospital in Indiana after he slammed his motorcycle into a pickup truck that was turning into a driveway on US-12 in Cass County just after 4:30 this morning. The sheriff’s office has identified him as Dustin Wigginton and deputies say he was “traveling at a high rate of speed and collided with the truck.” Wigginton was not wearing a helmet. The Ford F250 driver, 36-year-old Chad Wiser of Edwardsburg, was not hurt. Deputies do not yet know if drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash. It happened in Mason Township near Five Points Road.
