Benton Township leaders are seeking public input on what people want to see in the local parks.

Township Supervisor Cathy Yates tells us she’s getting ready to apply for a Michigan SPARK grant. Michigan Spark Grants help local communities create, renovate, and redevelop public recreation opportunities for residents and visitors–especially those communities whose economies and health were hardest hit by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Yates is holding a series of meetings, gathering the public’s input to better understand what recreation projects people want to see in the community.

The next meeting is tonight, Tuesday, October 17, at 6:30pm at the First Church Benton Heights at 990 North Euclid Avenue. Dinner and childcare is available.
