A Bangor man is dead following a single vehicle crash in Van Buren County on Tuesday.
The Van Buren County Sheriff’s Department says it happened in the 64,000 block of County Road 378 between County Road 687 and 66th Street in Bangor Township around 4:20 p.m.
Witnesses told deputies the driver of the white Ford pick-up was speeding westbound and attempting to pass several vehicles. While passing one vehicle, an eastbound vehicle came along, forcing the pick-up’s driver to swerve. He ran off the road and his truck went airborne before rolling several times and hitting a tree.
The 64-year-old driver was ejected from the vehicle and died as a result of his injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
